Why is the tanning lotion so brown in color?

With previous tanning lotions that were colorless, people could not determine whether they had covered the skin completely or whether they had missed out any spots. The result was some parts of the skin were invariable left out and the individuals ended up with streaky skin. With brown color tanning lotions customers can make sure that every inch of they skin in properly covered. So that the skin tans evening without any embarrassing blotches and streaks.

The brown color that is used is a natural organic color pigment and is harmless when applied on the skin. The Faux Tan sunless tanning lotion contain unique sunless tanning agents that are guaranteed to give you a gorgeous skin without any harmful effects. 

Does the brown pigments cause stains?

The organic color pigment is neither a dye nor a stain and as such it is absolutely unlikely to cause any permanent stains. It washes easily off from any synthetic material without any pre-laundering.

How long does its effect last?

We take great pride in the fact that our products do not need to be applied every single day to maintain the tan. In the first week you may need to apply the tanning lotion about three times, after which the frequency drops to about twice weekly. There is no hard and fast rule however and the frequency is best determined based on your preference. With sunless tanning lotions, you have the control and can either opt to deepen the tan by applying extra lotion or you can lighten it by applying the lotion less frequently.

Does the Tan wash off?

No, the tan does not wash off but. For a longer lasting tan, use an exfoliating scrub on your skin while you are in the shower. Apply the product onto your skin and let it stay-on through the night. When you shower off in the morning, you will notice some brown color being washed away. Don’t worry; this is not your tan being washed away. It is simply the color guide that is being washed off. As with any suntan lotion, the effects of the sunless fake lotion will fade away as time goes by and that’s why it is essential to reapply the lotion at least twice or thrice a week to maintain a good tan.

Can Faux Tan be used along with a Tanning salon?

Studies have shown that using tanning bed sessions along with Faux Tan at night, accelerated the process of tanning.  Those people who combined tanning salon sessions along with Faux Tan, achieved more satisfying results and in a shorter time. Faux tan is a great alternative to those people who find it difficult to tan the sides of the body and those who cover their faces when tanning.

Is there any SPF or sunscreen in any of the products?

On the advice of our in-house Chemist, we have refrained from adding any SPF or sunscreen in any of our products. Moreover, with different customers wanting variable degrees of sun-blocks and sunscreens, satisfying everybody is almost impossible. In fact, we dissuade our customers from using any kind of sun-block or SPF. As a special concession, if you absolutely have to, you can apply a sun-block on top of the Faux Tan.

Can you go swimming with the product?

Considering that our product does not wash away, swimming is absolutely possible. The precaution that you need to take is that you should not go swimming immediately after you’ve applied the product as it would then get washed off and result in a waste. You will see best results if you follow the application instructions carefully and leave the sunless tanning lotion on the skin through the night before rinsing off in the morning.

Does this product cause any Harmful effects?

An organically based product, Faux Tan is considered by dermatologists to be much safer than trying to acquire a tan by exposure to the sun. Can this product be used on my face?

Faux Tan sunless lotion was specially formulated to be used on the face as well as the entire body. Very often, other manufacturers sell different tanning products for the face and different ones to be used over the rest of the body. However this is more of a marketing strategy than anything else.

How long does it take for the product to dry?

Drying times vary for different skins depending upon the moisture level in each skin type. Typically, the product takes about 20 minutes to dry. Applying the sunless tanning lotion onto your skin several hours before going to bed is the best way to ensure that the lotion is completely dried off.
